What did Jesus mean when He said, “depart from me for I never KNEW YOU”?
Well, he was talking to someone who was a religious person and did all the “right” things.

When people think about Christianity, they often associate it with a list of things to do and not to do or simply believing the right things. While it certainly includes those, it is NOT ONLY those.
Christianity is a love story of our Creator who made us to be in relationship with Him. But God cannot have sin in His presence and we must be made holy before we can be in right relationship with HIm.
Because we couldn’t become righteous on our own, God came to earth as Jesus Christ and paid for our sins, so we could come into relationship with Him.
1. the problem
Mankind is separated from God because of sin. God is holy and He cannot have sin in His presence. When Adam sinned in the garden of Eden, man was separated from God. But God provided a way for us to be reconnected to Him.
